Sears's exchange, refund policies.

The week before last week I bought bed cover set. When I bought bed cover set, i was not sure that my bed size is queen or double. I considered which size did i have to buy at sears. I bought queen size bed cover set and i asked clerk that after i bought bed cover set whether i can exchange or not. The clerk told me "If for any reason you were not satisfied, simply return your purchase with your receipt whitin 90 days of purchase for exchange or refund. But if you do not have receipt, a sears gift card may be issued at our discretion reflecting the lowest selling price offered in the previous 90 days." After I took it home, i realized that i wrong. I should have bought double size. I needed to be exchanged. when i requested exchange from queen size to double size, clerk asked about my name, adress, telephone number and requited vaild photo ID because for audit purpose.
