My Turning Points

I have three big turning points in my life.

In 2001, I began to go to culinary school, especially making the bread, after work. Before I went to there, I was very bored with my life. At the time, I really wanted to change something in my life.Making bread was really interesting because I was able to make bread as if it was sold at the bakery, of course it was delicious. Then, I was getting interested in some French words in the textbook, for example "un croissant, une baguette....", because most of bread came from France.

In 2002, suddenly the culinary school went bankrupt! If I had chosen other school, I could have learned about more knowledge of bread. I really regretted at the time, however I changed how I thought. I began to go to French school to learn French because I had already known some French words at the time. I am very curious about many things. The experience in cooking school introduced me to go to French school. As soon as I began to learn French, I was really involved in studying it. I can not explain well why I am admiring of it.It did not take a long time to decide to go to France to study French.

Last of all, I went to France in 2003 for one year. It was the first time to go abroad, however I felt at home because my hostfamily, classmates and teacher were so friendly, warm-hearted, and histolical architectures and old churchs and French food ,Cheese, bread, wine and cooking, made me really fascinated. After I stayed a lot of cities in France, I stayed in Paris for three months. I enjoyed in there and made many friends. When I talked about something with my French friend, I was not able to explain well in French because my French was not perfect, of course. She asked me to speak in English instead of French. The moment she said me, I was really embarrassed because I was not able to speak English at all at the time. To be honest,I did not like English because of compulsory education in Japan. Then, I changed how I thought again. If I could speak French and English, my life would be excellent, then live with content. If I could get a job as long as I could use English and French, I would have no regrets over my life! That is why I came to Canada and study English hard.
