My Precious High School Experience-by Deresa

I am going to talk about my high school experience which I consider as a precious gem in my life. I had exceedingly unique or unusual life than any other high school students. I graduated the theatre and movie art school that most of art students want to get in for their career as an artist.

Korean students have to study very hard since when they were young in order for them to get in to the university. I would say normally 11years to prepare entire subjects for their major in post secondary education. They have to study for math, second languages, science, geography etc. for every semester at school and academies. However, I didn’t want to do that and it was impossible for me.

The reason why I had chosen special art school to enter, I had too much passion for art which I consider as my future career. Moreover, I had been playing musical instruments and taking lessons such as jazz dance, Korea traditional dance, and modern dance, singing Korean traditional music, and classical music, and playing performance which I had learned and enjoyed since when I was child. I had pursued some of musical actors’ noble lives from my youth and I believe that I will be the performer who can touch audiences’ heart with my music and act.

I remember that I worn a unique style uniform in my high school such as a short skirt with tight jacket and special shoes with some kinds of backpacks etc. which was totally different than other regular high school student’s style. I used to be late because it took me 2 hours to get school. Although it was such a hard time for me to go to school, the experience was really unique and special. After all, I got in to university for my Korea traditional music where I had great experience as a performer and I would like to study for musical performer which is quite related to my career.

As I mentioned before, I always love to listen to all kinds of music and watch the musicals on the stage. I could not think about my life without music and dance as performer. I know that I am not really ready for a professional performer at this moment; however, I am trying to step forward to take more responsibility for my career.
