The Body Shop's Customer Service Policies - Min Hee

On Sunday, I went to The Body Shop at the Eaton Center for researching customer service policies. There were many people and some people looked around the store and others bought something. When I entered the shop I couldn't ask questions to clerk first because I was very trembled. Therefore, I just pretended customer and looked around the store, watched people what they bought and merchandises in there. I could know several things while I looked around there. In case of perfumes and cosmetics they had a tester.

A few minutes later, I decided to ask some questions to a saleswoman. I pretended customer and ask my questions.

1. Q : When I use this product, if I have a skin trouble could you refund this?
A : In case of perfumes and cosmetics we have a tester so we can't refund these. Therefore, you should test the testers before you buy these. But, other things doesn't have a tester so if you're skin is sensitive and this is first time to use I'll give a sample.

2. Q : I want to give a present to my friend however, if she doesn't like this could I change this to other one?
A : We'll give a gift receipt so you come here with that. And then we'll change or refund.

3. Q : If I want to exchange or refund a merchandise, what do I need to do?
A : You should have the receipt and come within 30 days. Then, you can exchange or refund a merchandise. However, merchandise without a receipt will be exchanged at the lowest selling price. Besides, If you buy something during the sale they are not returned or exchanged.

After researching I got a sample of body scrub. I wanted to buy but I worried about use it because I never used that before. I'll use it this weekend and if it is good for me, I'll buy the body scrub and recommend it to my friend.

This homework is very hard for me because I don't know about business and I never think about customer service policies seriously. So when I went to the store I was very trembled and nervous. And I think this topic is difficult to ask and most of companies or stores want to secret this matter. However, it was a good experience and I could know more about the customer service policies than I started this homework.
