Here are some suggestions as answers:

I would have become a lawyer instead of going to the monastery.

I should have studied every day after class as my Teacher Mark had told be to do.

I should have bought a map or search for directions on the internet.

I should have gotten up earlier so that I made a good impression with my school, students, and classmates.

I would have been able to enjoy French Canadian culture and heritage.

I would have thought more seriously, acted more responsibly, been less naive and made a plan for my future.
